Local Utility Service Providers

For a uninterrupted transfer of utilities, make sure to get a list of all utility providers from the current home owner. One week prior to closing notify all utility service providers you wish to continue using. Make sure to let them know it will be a transfer of ownership and this will save you a disconnect/reconnect fee. In some cases you may need a meter number. With Propane it is usually pro-rated at closing. Once you take ownership you will sign a new contract with a provider of your choice
